People get involved in charitable and philanthropic activities for a variety of reasons;  the overriding one is the desire to make the world a better place. But all too often philanthropists find that it is much harder to put their money to work for a good cause than it was to earn it in the first place. Engaging in effective philanthropy demands an intimate understanding of the selection process and the effectiveness of charitable organisations.  Just because something seems like a good idea, it does not mean that it is always effective. It takes time and resources to identify performing and scalable projects, establish facts and monitor and measure progress.

That is where we come in, with our passionate and experienced team. We carry out rigorous due diligence checks on the projects that we select to support. Even the best concepts need the right guidance and we never assume a programme will work just because it seems like an obvious solution. We look for projects where we can add value and that can be scaled to make a fundamental and sustainable difference to the maximum number of people in need. We help donors achieve their philanthropic objectives by connecting them with outstanding charity entrepreneurs who share their vision. We seek out, assess and support those with experience of working on the ground, those who have created new solutions to old problems. In short, we identify and support the game changers in our world.

We carefully consider the social, economic and multi-cultural implications of a project, and ensure that we will address specific needs in a way that is respectful of the children and families that we are supporting. Sarah’s Trust monitors and communicates the progress of projects regularly so that donors are clear about the impact their donation is having.
